Promotional Staff Interview – Harry

Every week we like to take time out to sit down with our promotional staff team. Here at Dreams we believe in working very closely with all staff who feature on our books and for all staff to become part of the Dreams family. This week we caught up with Harry and had a chat with her, please see below:
What do you like most about being a promotional model?
The variety! I get to meet lots of interesting people, and learn about all different businesses and industries!
Have you always wanted to be a Promotional model?
No! I was a work rider in Racing - I used to school the horses up the gallops and take them to the races, but sadly my back wont hold up to the job after a bad fall!
Can you tell us about one of your best promotional jobs you have ever done?
I LOVE ring girling, the bigger the show the better. I recently worked for Podium Vape as a poledancer, which was great fun, although tiring, as I love my Poledancing!
Have you met anyone famous whilst working?
I once worked for Celebrity Merch managing their celebrity calendar signing stand, So I have met a lot of reality stars, etc! And although not "famous" as such, but it is great to meet the CEOs of successful companies that I get to work for, they are always interesting people with a story to tell!
Do you think booking promotional staff at events is a good idea?
Yes. As promotional staff, it is my job to be a bit of a chameleon. I will be sent a brief where I can learn about your company, and I am quick at memorising information about those I work for. Whilst your core staff can deal with your customers, I can do everything from promoting your brand, generate leads, get people to sample your products, or just be a friendly face to chat to the people on your stand and keep them interested in your products, building a rapport with them.
Do you think Dreams are a good staffing agency and how do they compare to others?
Yes I do. I rarely work for other companies these days. The system is great to use and no faffing. I can see all the info I need online, apply and then hopefully be booked. The feedback system is great as you get out what you put in - I try hard for my clients, and I hope that shows. Dean or Sue is always on the end of the phone If I need help on a job. The only downside would be that in promo work in general, the pay isn't as great as it once was - But that is across the industry, not just dreams. Dreams are great at paying though - as soon as I invoice its paid as soon as they can!

Contrary to popular belief I am actually teetotal and have been for many years! So I'm a cheap date - Soda Water and Lime!

Blue Steak - a cow died for your meal, show it some respect and don't cremate it!
Favourite holiday destination?
I wouldn't know, I never get time for a holiday!

If you won the lottery what would you do?
Invest it wisely! I am not very materialistic.
